| Sell your products online
It is easy to start selling your products online with our ShopSecure™
process. The steps to begin selling your products online is very
similar to a conventional retail store. Here's how:
Step 1. Select
your name, location and shopfront
Typically $605 + GST per year
Translated to an online shop, this is the step where you select
your domain name, eg. www.yourshop.com.au, and find a host to present
your shop pages, pictures and documents on the internet - just you
would select your business name, the building and the suburb for
your shop.
We provide a domain name registration service and the right
hosting account with 7 day technical support.
Step 2. Shopfitting
and shop layout
Typically $495 - $1500 + GST
Just like you would set up the shelves, cashiers area and product
displays in a conventional shop, your online shop must be setup
in the same way - how will your customers select what they want
to purchase and how they will make their way through to making a
payment. This is commonly called a "shopping cart" system
similar to supermarket shopping.
We help you decide the best way to setup and layout your
online shop with your logo and unique style.
Step 3. Stocking
your shop with merchandise
Typically $15 - $22 + GST per item
The next step to complete your shop setup is getting your merchandise
on the shelves. This is where all the information, pricing, pictures
and options are loaded into the database of your online shop to
display to your customers. This is the same process as putting your
products on the shelves with price tags attached.
If you are willing to learn, we will train you to load and
maintain your online shop data or if you'd rather leave it to us,
we can arrange to manage the site for you.
Step 4. Advertising
Typically $100+ per month
Without advertising and promotion, your shop will have few or
no visitors. It's the same for an online shop. The process of marketing
your online shop is an ongoing task essential to the continuing
success of your site and increasing your sales.
we work together with you to decide the best strategy for
promoting your shop. See our section on developing your online business,
why a website design is not enough? for more information.
